Débora Mendonça – Hospitality Executive and Operations Leader at The Glass Knife
A proud Brazilian immigrant who came alone to the U.S. at 21, Debora worked her way up from a busser to executive leadership, becoming a U.S. citizen in 2024. Her journey is rooted in grit, empathy, and a deep passion for people.
By fouding DM Consulting, where she helps small businesses—particularly in the hospitality space— Debora helps others grow through strategic planning, marketing, leadership development, and operations. Her philosophy centers around shared knowledge and creating long-term, sustainable success.
Debora’s leadership and impact have earned her multiple accolades, including Chair Person of the Year and Outstanding Citizen by the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, Woman of Leadership & Courage by Midia America, and multiple “Best Restaurant” awards throughout her career. In 2024, she was nominated as a Leader of Impact by the American Heart Association.
A passionate community advocate, she actively serves on committees for Quest Inc. and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, helping to shape leadership programs and nonprofit initiatives. With over 1,200 team members led throughout her career, Debora is known for empowering others by leading with purpose, empathy, and bold vision.
